Pratice Hospitality
"The biblical word for hospitality means “a love of strangers.” Sometimes people who visit our churches feel unwelcome. No one greets them or notices them. Hospitality, however, can break down barriers and build bridges. It can make strangers feel more welcome than just a word in the church bulletin."-Our Daily Bread (2 June 2006)
It will serve us well to constantly remember Paul's advice (Romans 12:13) on being hospitable. Even as someone who works in the service industry, I will go on a professional "stage" and attempt to positively impact people's experience. How then can I extend sincere hospitality in God's kingdom? What's more, I'm, in fact, an introvert by nature. I'll need to examine my willingness to go out of my way to meet the needs of a brother or sister.
