Our Daily Bread

God has provided us, in abundance, in the areas of material and spiritual resources. And because we choose to obey, His providence and blessings will continue to overflow. God is truely Jehovah-Jireh! Remember how God has blessed you? Think Abraham, let's serve and obey God.

So Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide. And to this day it is said, "On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided." The angel of the LORD called to Abraham from heaven a second time 16 and said, "I swear by myself, declares the LORD, that because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me." - Genesis 22:14-18

How great is our God?

As for man, his days are like grass, he flourishes like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more. -Psalms 103:15-16"... how great is our God
Name above all names
Worthy of all praise
My heart will sing
How great is our God"

-Chris Tomlin-

The song lingered in my mind for a couple of days. Indeed, how great is our God, who cares even for the every blade of grass in the fields and every feather of birds in the air. What more, us, who were created in His image. How great is our God!

An old girl named Sue

Today, we met Sue, the most complete fossil of a T-Rex ever found. It is amazing how big these creatures were once. With all the ferocity and might, the dinosaurs are not featured in God's plan today. (Thank God!)

(Was dinosaurs part of God's plan? see Dinosaurs and The Bible)

Instead of pondering why they have all gone extinct, let us celebrate the diversity of God's creation, and acknowledge that He is truely a master craftsman.

What's Right With This World?

In today's world of "What's wrong with this world?", we need to be asking the "right" questions as well. Did you know that regardless of all the terrible and hideous things that happened to you, there are still things around you that you should be thankful for?

Special thanks to the screening of a program by the National Geographic on Dewit Jones (see http://www.dewittjones.com) at our cell group meeting. The program reminded me on all things beautiful crafted by our Almighty Creator (where else but http://www.God.com). It also tells us that if we take the time to be patient, we will see the better side of things even when we thought we are limited by the situation.

This blog will journal my attempts to capture the beautiful things in my life, with some of my observations and photographs, and I pray that this will in turn direct your eyes to the "right" things in your life.

God bless and have a great day!
